Willingness leaves room for another way
Practising Willingness as a weekly intention
By Ella
You’ve tried to move something forward, but keep arriving at the same difficult place. Perhaps there is another approach you’ve been considering, yet you haven’t quite given it a chance.
Choosing Willingness as your weekly intention in Cohera can be an invitation to explore that possibility with intention and optimism.

Notice where you could open a little
Think about a recent moment when you dismissed an idea, hesitated to join in or returned to a familiar approach even though it wasn’t helping.
There may have been a good reason. You could have been protecting your time or responding to an experience that disappointed you before. Acknowledging that gives you somewhere honest to begin.
In your Journal, you might ask: “What possibility would I like to give a fair chance, and why does it matter to me?”
Bring intention to the attempt
Being willing doesn’t mean agreeing to everything. You can keep your limits and still give a chosen possibility your attention.
That might look like:
- Exploring an idea with curiosity. Give yourself time to discover what interests you before deciding whether it will work.
- Trying a different approach with a clear purpose. Know what you hope to learn, while leaving room to be surprised.
- Joining in with something to offer. Bring a question, a thought or your attention, even if you are still finding your feet.
Optimism can be as simple as allowing that something good might come from the attempt, even if you don’t yet know what that will be.
Notice what becomes possible
When you return to Cohera and see your intention, you might ask: “What am I discovering that I hadn’t expected?”
Afterwards, notice what the experience offered. Perhaps you found a useful idea, enjoyed a connection or learned enough to choose a different direction. That gives you something to draw on when deciding whether to continue, adjust or stop.
Let Willingness be an invitation to participate in a possibility you care about. You can keep your boundaries and still approach it with hope.
