A weekly intention to return to yourself
By Ella
You can begin the day wanting to create, then find yourself caught up in pressure, comparison or frustration. By the time you turn to your own work, it can feel as though you’ve already given your energy to everything else.
This is why we keep a weekly intention close in Cohera. Each time you log in, it offers a moment to remember how you want to meet what is happening, even when the day has taken you somewhere you didn’t expect.

Choose a quality that feels supportive
Courage, Willingness, Acceptance, Clarity, Love, Joy and Peace are the seven qualities we return to. They sit at the heart of Cohera because we see them as ways to create from a place that feels more supportive of ourselves and others.
In an ordinary day, that could look like:
- Courage: taking an honest step when you feel uncertain.
- Acceptance: acknowledging what has happened and working with what is available.
- Love: allowing yourself the same care you would offer a friend.
The intention doesn’t ask you to feel differently on command. It gives you a direction to consider when you notice where you are.
Notice what is taking your energy
Perhaps you’ve been creating from a need to prove yourself, worrying about how your work will be received or feeling guilty whenever you stop. You may recognise how tiring it feels to keep responding from that place.
Those feelings deserve attention too. You don’t need to push them away before considering what might support you.
Looking back at a moment from your day, ask:
- What was driving my response? Perhaps fear of disappointing someone, or pressure to get everything right.
- How did it leave me feeling? Notice what felt draining, tense or difficult to put down.
- Which quality would I like to bring to it now? Choose something you can practise, rather than a feeling you must achieve.
You don’t need to resolve the whole experience. Recognising that you’ve been hard on yourself may be enough to begin responding with more care.
Let the reminder become a choice
For me, the idea that we are creators of our reality begins with the choices we can make in how we respond. We can’t control every circumstance, but we can notice our habits and sometimes choose another way.
When you see your intention in Cohera, you might ask: “What would it look like to bring this quality into what I do next?” Some days, the answer will come easily. On others, simply remembering it may be enough.
The hope behind this practice is to leave more room for yourself, your creativity and the people you want to connect with. Let your intention be a gentle reminder of that, rather than another expectation to meet.
