Blocked or resistant? Notice what feels different before choosing your next step
By Ella
You open Cohera and pause at the energy check-in. Something feels difficult today, but choosing a word for it takes a moment.
Perhaps you feel blocked. Perhaps resistant feels closer. You don’t need to settle on a perfect description before the check-in can be useful.
The words give you a place to begin. What matters next is noticing what feels manageable from here.
Start with what you notice today
Blocked can feel like having nothing available to begin with. You may want to step away from the task, and even a small decision can feel out of reach.
Resistant can feel like having some energy to act, but meeting friction when you try. You might be able to push through, yet the process feels frustrating, uncomfortable or harder than you want it to be.
Those experiences can overlap, and the same task may feel different tomorrow. The distinction gives you a way to consider what would help today.
Try asking yourself:
- Do I have anything to give this task right now? Notice whether beginning itself feels out of reach.
- Does something particular feel in the way? It might be finding the words, choosing an image or deciding what you want to share.
- What would support me from here? Consider a smaller action, a different approach or a pause.
Choose the state that feels closest. Your check-in is a reflection of your experience, not a score you need to improve.

When beginning feels difficult, make the decision smaller
Imagine you want to share a new painting. You have photographs, but choosing one, writing about it and preparing the post feels like too much to hold at once.
For now, you could simply look through the photographs and notice which detail you want people to see. There is no need to write the caption at the same time.
If you feel ready to give the idea a place in Cohera, you can begin in Post and work towards a saved draft:
- Choose one image. Pick the photograph you want to work with and let its upload finish.
- Add a thought if you have one. A sentence about a colour, texture or detail can give you somewhere to begin later.
- Save from the Review step. You can keep the post as a draft without publishing or scheduling it.
- Return when you have room. Open Drafts in the same browser on the same device to continue.
You don’t have to reach the draft stage today. Looking at one photograph can be enough. If even that feels like more than you have room for, you can stop after the check-in.
When one part feels uncomfortable, name that part
Perhaps you are happy to share the painting, but reluctant to write a promotional caption. The difficulty becomes more specific once you notice it.
You might ask: “What do I actually want someone to understand about this work?”
That could lead to a sentence about the materials, a choice you made or something you learned. For example: “I kept returning to this blue because it reminded me of the water just before sunset.”
That thought can guide the caption. If shaping it into a post is the part that feels difficult, Cohera’s caption assistance can offer wording to work with.
- Keep your own thought in view. It holds the detail you want the caption to express.
- Consider the suggested wording. Notice which parts sound natural and which don’t fit what you mean.
- Make it yours. Keep what helps, change what doesn’t and check that the details are true.
You can decide separately whether the post needs an invitation to buy, visit or ask a question. Sharing something about the work may be the purpose of this particular post.
Naming the difficult part gives you something concrete to work with. You might use caption assistance, ask a trusted person for feedback or return to it later. Being able to push through doesn’t mean you always have to.
Let the check-in inform your next choice
Cohera brings your energy check-in alongside your content planning. A draft can give an unfinished idea somewhere to wait, and caption assistance can give you words to consider. You remain the person choosing what to make and when to share it.

For today, choose the word that feels closest, then ask: “What would support me from here?”
