What each platform needs — media, caption length, and more.

Each platform has its own rules. Cohera checks these for you in the composer’s review step, so you can fix anything before you post.
- A photo or video is required.
- Captions can be up to 2,200 characters.
TikTok
- A video is required. Photos aren’t supported through TikTok’s posting tools.
- Captions are short — around 150 characters.
- You choose who can see each post (its privacy level) before publishing.
YouTube
- A video is required.
- Descriptions can be up to 5,000 characters.
X
- Posts can be up to 280 characters.
- Posts can be up to about 3,000 characters.
- A professional tone tends to work best.
- Text, photos, or video all work, with a generous length limit.
These reflect each platform’s own rules, which can change. The review step in the composer is always the live source of truth.
